Aichelin Unitherm offers advanced Pit Type Furnaces designed for the precision heat treatment of large, heavy and high-value industrial components. Engineered to deliver consistent metallurgical performance and precise thermal control, these furnaces incorporate advanced retort technology and optimized gas-flow dynamics to ensure excellent temperature uniformity and atmosphere consistency throughout the entire charge load.

Ideal for carburizing, nitriding, annealing and other controlled-atmosphere heat treatment processes, Aichelin Unitherm Pit Type Furnaces provide high load capacity, reliable process control and reproducible heat treatment results. Their robust design and energy-efficient operation make them the preferred choice for demanding applications in the steel, forging, aerospace, energy and heavy engineering industries.

FAQ – Aichelin Rotary Hearth Furnace systems
It supports carburising, case hardening, carbo-nitriding, nitriding, annealing, sintering, and H₂ dewaxing processes.
The furnace supports a wide range of process atmospheres for carburising, carbonitriding, nitriding, and nitrocarburising applications. For carburising and carbonitriding processes, the system can operate with Endogas, methanol-based atmospheres, LPG/PNG and ammonia. For nitriding and nitrocarburising applications, the furnace can be configured to use nitrogen, ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrogen, enabling precise atmosphere control and consistent metallurgical results across a variety of heat treatment requirements.
Oil, salt, and polymer quenching systems are available based on process requirements.
It can handle loads up to 3 meters in diameter and 4 meters in height.
Features like forced rapid cooling and optimized heat transfer reduce cycle times and increase throughput.
